GPS Environmental, LLC was formed in 1996 as a consulting company servicing the municipal and industrial markets in Southeast Alaska. Water and Wastewater consulting, OSHA training and fire training were our specialties. In 2003 GPS Environmental, LLC began representing a number of water and wastewater equipment manufacturers throughout Alaska.
Currently, GPS Environmental, LLC is a minority owned and operated Alaska based business specializing in water treatment, wastewater treatment, industrial water treatment, alternative energy including wind, solar and hydro power, diesel power systems 50 kW to 3000 kW, remote camps & facilities, fire and marine equipment.

G. Paul Schuitt, Principal
I have worked throughout Alaska in a number of industrial areas. I began my career in the oil fields of the North Slope in 1978 and worked through 1995 as a roustabout, maintenance technician, firefighter, and water & wastewater utility technician. I have a petroleum science degree from the University of Alaska and an Organizational Management degree from the Alaska Pacific University and completed my MBA in Technology Management through the University of Phoenix in July of 2007.
I hold level IV certification in Water Treatment, level IV in Wastewater treatment, WD I, WWC I and Firefghter II, Fire Service Instructor I. I have held a number of technical and management positions throughout the State of Alaska.
Bill Stokes, Principal
I have over 30 years experience in the water and wastewater industry, including over 20 years managing the operation and maintenance of remote arctic water and wastewater treatment systems, solid waste disposal systems and hazardous waste disposal at the Kuparuk and Prudhoe Bay oilfields. In addition I am a State of Alaska Certified Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator, with Level 4 certifications in water and wastewater treatment and Level 3 certifications in water distribution and wastewater collection.
My educational accomplishments include earning an AS, Chemical Technology, Los Angeles Trade-Tech College; Bachelor of Technology, University of Alaska Anchorage; MBA, Alaska Pacific University; and Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A), H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, Nova Southeastern University.
